Windward Construction is now pursuing renewable energy technology! By the summer of 2009, Windward will have earned a certificate of knowledge through the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) with a focus on Photo Voltaic (PV) technology . What is NABCEP you may ask? NABCEP is part of a nationwide effort to set a higher standard for businesses involved in the renewable energy field. Though not a required certification for doing business in the renewable energy field, the industry is attempting to self regulate and keep to a decisive code of conduct and universal level of knowledge in the arena. What’s next after NABCEP? What better way to give back to your community than to pursue the State of Colorado standards as well? Windward will also earn a certification with Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA) who sets the standards for local installers as well.
